Summer Camp Activities

Karate Classes: Your child will learn how to stretch as well as how to do various hand and feet techniques through our fun obstacle courses and pad drills. These classes are taught by certified instructors and masters at our school. Your child will improve their overall level of endurance, agility, hand, eye and foot coordination, self esteem, confidence, and strength.

Foreign Language Studies: Your child will have the opportunity to learn 2 foreign languages at US-K Martial Arts. They will be taught how to speak, write and understand the basics. The two languages we will offer include Spanish as well as Korean. Through this summer camp your child will learn the numbers, alphabet, colors, and basic conversation words, phrases and so much more.

Discovery Place: Your child will be taken on a tour through the exciting halls of this fun-filled museum, where he/she can play, touch, listen and learn about various types of sciences and animals. Each child can become a Jr. Scientist for a day and experience what Discovery Place has to offer.

Lazy 5 Ranch: At this animal drive through zoo your child will be able to safely experience and view over 750 animals from six different continents. Your child will be able to feed and pet the animals and learn about where each animal came from. At this Ranch there are many Horses, Giraffes, Zebras, Lemurs, Ostriches, Sheep, Rhinoceros, Kangaroos and more.

Public Library: At the Public Library your child will be able to be involved in group reading and individual reading time. He/she will have a choice of a wide variety of children’s age appropriate books, and educational computer activities. Reading is essential and we will encourage your child to read during the summer camp.

Outdoor Adventures: Your child will have the opportunity to go canoeing and explore the outdoors. At this nature center he/she will see different types of trees and plants. At the Latta Plantation, your child will be able to see some of the animals that live here as well.

Indoor Activities: When we have your child stay indoors at US-K Martial Arts we will play various age appropriate challenging games and puzzles, relay races, freeze tag, ball games and more. Our games will involve the use of teamwork, sharing, being competitive and these games will help increase your child’s level of hand, eye and foot coordination.

Outdoor Activities: For outdoor activities we will be creative with sidewalk chalk, bubbles, water balloons, jump ropes, relay races, and trips to the nearby neighborhood park where your child can play on the playgrounds with other campers. We will also incorporate other sports into our activities.

Arts and Crafts: Our Arts and Crafts sessions are lots of fun too! Your child will be able to paint, color, cut, paste, create collages, build with clay, learn how to do origami, build paper planes and more various activities. We will hang up their artwork when completed and they will take home their masterpieces to show the rest of the family what they made at US-K Martial Arts.
