Summer Camp Program

Summer Camp at US-K Martial Arts is a place where your child can enjoy their summer break in a fun, safe and exciting environment! We offer fun activities such as games, movies and field trips. We also provide healthy snacks.
Adult Classes
We understand how hectic today’s schedules can be. In keeping with that we provide two types of adult classes:
Family Class
This class is designed for both adults and adults with children who are also taking classes. This gives you the chance to take class with your children and free up a little more of your schedule.
Adults Only Class
This class is designed for adults. The pace is a little more intense.
Self-Defense Training
We provide mini-classes that teach basic self-defense techniques. The self-defense classes teach ways to disable and get away from an attacker. These classes run at various schedules and we are happy to set up classes for groups either at our locations, or in some cases, in other more convenient locations.
Weapons Training - Haedong Kumdo
(Click to learn more)
US-K Martial Arts provides training in weapons as you progress through the Tang Soo Do ranks. The main weapons that are taught are the Bo and the Sword. The training for the Bo begins at the Green Belt level and progresses through the rest of your training. Sword training (Haedong Kumdo) begins at a white belt level and progresses separately from Tang Soo Do. This technique of Sword is one of the oldest in the world and is very difficult and intense training.
Tournament Training
At US-K Martial Arts we encourage our students to participate in tournaments. Tournaments provide a practical and fun way to test the skills that you have learned as you compete against, not only your fellow students, but also students from other schools. Our tournament training is designed to assist students in preparing for the three major tournament events.
These events include:
Forms
These are the forms that are taught in class and may also include weapons forms at some tournaments.
Board Breaking
Normally, this is a 3 station break. Which means that there are three different boards (or groups of boards), that the competitor will break. Each person is responsible for designing his or her own break.
Sparring
The rules for sparring change from one tournament to the next. We provide training for the event as a whole.
